BK Medical Type 8818 — Biplane and Endfire Transducer:
Endocavitary ultrasound transducer designed primarily for transrectal prostate imaging and biopsy procedures. The 8818 incorporates two convex arrays, providing transverse and sagittal/endfire imaging, with simultaneous biplane and endfire imaging capabilities. It supports applications including transrectal/transperineal puncture and biopsy and operates over approximately 4–12 MHz.

The FDA's GUDID identifies the 8818 as a “Prostate Triplane Transducer” and classifies it as a rectal/vaginal ultrasound imaging transducer.
